    Thank you. I'm going piece by piece into a pistol build, and that looks like a very nice combo.
    I had two new shooters out for their first night of doing any kind of shooting drills. One of them shot his APF build( he is brand new to ARs and doesn't know anything about them) next to the Optimum LW build and was commenting about how much softer it shoots. The LW build was the rifle used by everyone for drills tonight, and continues to plug along.

    Yes Silencerco Omega.
    We have Silencerco Chimera in jail for that rifle.
    The rifle will not lock back on the last round without the can. I’m running (she’s running) an A5 with H2 buffer and sprinco action spring. The break is totally obnoxious but I used it to put less wear on the suppressor as it will be suppressed 100% of the time. She only has about 75 rounds through it so accuracy results will come later.
    This is her second rifle. Her first is a 14.5” DD CHF LW middy that weighs nothing.

    @Clint
    Any experimentation with ideal gas length for 12.5” barrels? Was looking at your 11.5” EXC and while reading the 12.5” Kino thread on the main forum.

    The EXC gas system is OPTIMUM for 13" barrels.

    We like to keep within +/- 0.5" of that, so a 12.5" would be close enough.

    A "Clinto" configuration is possible using EXC gas and a Midlength FSB on a 12.5" or 13" barrel.

    I could maybe be tempted by such a thing, if it has a taper pinned FSB and round handguard cap. Maybe.

    Eta: I could also be tempted by a M16a1 profile 15”-16” mock dissipator to replace my PSA one. I’d turn it into a fake 605.
