BRT OPTIMUM Barrels

The 12.5 BRT is intriguing. I'd be interested in seeing the profile. A pistol build is in my "eventually " list of plans, but I'm about halfway there on the parts for it. I keep going back and forth with my BRT SPR build at the same pace, but I'm picking up the rail for that build next week.

Is your 6p hybrid rifling that same as Triarc Systems Track 2.0?

I am super impressed by the velocity numbers y’all getting out of the hybrid rifled barrels. I am assuming you use the same OEM, which is part why I was asking about NP3 vs NIB. My preference tends to be NP3 but I figured you had your reasons.

I really dislike NiB , so I'm also interested in an offering with NP3 or nitrided barrel extension.

What difference can the coating or treatment of the barrel extension make? I'm genuinely interested. FWIW, I have always liked NP3 after using the SIonics NP3 BCG, but I typically just buy standard BCGs.

I don’t think it matters much. NP3 is slicker but it is ablative. NIB is smooth and hard. Neither retain lubrication well compared to phosphate because the lack of pours, so my preference is for NP3 on moving parts because its lubricity (Teflon) is embedded in the coating (nickle).
