Can I ask why you split the difference between the two profiles? I actually have one of each, although the MPR is still waiting to have a gun built around it. I shot the LPR yesterday just to remind myself how much I like it.

Sure.

Every design choice involves a balance of factors.

With the HF CL series, we wanted them to have a great all-around profile that meets the needs of professional-type shooters.

A profile that is no heavier than it needs to be and no thinner than it should be, while using the common .750 gas block journal and providing a good shoulder for the muzzle device or suppressor mount to seat against.
