BRT OPTIMUM Barrels

Clint, the specially marked 16" Optimum barrel I got from you in late 18 is still going strong, very pleased with it.

Any plans on doing an Optimum barrel in a fluted or pencil profile in the future? Thinking about a lightweight build and for the barrel I thought of you first.

I'd love for BRT to be at the heart of my Honeybadger clone.

We don't have plans for a skinny or fluted barrel.

The 16" LPR was 24oz and the current 16" HFCL is 26.7oz.

It just doesn't seem like a big enough difference to be worthwhile.

The PDW barrels in 556 and 300BLK are at chrome now, so they should be ready fairly soon.

Fun Fact: Our 8" PDW barrels are also compatible with standard hand guards, which are a nice alternative to a 7" free float hand guard.

So the front cap is held on by the flash hider?

The front cap is held against the flash hider by the hand guards.

There's a tiny bit of pre-load on the front cap, so the fit is very solid.

It's a little non standard, but actually works quite well.

This does also work with our 8.5" SUBGUN 9mm barrels.

Not all barrels on the market will do this unless the dimensions have been specifically tweaked to account for it.
