Maybe you see it differently, but I still think many of our countrymen subscribe to the "give me liberty or give me death" mindset. Of course we tolerate the small transgressions. Of course no one wants to die or go to prison, but there is a limit. We will reach it, and we will eventually retaliate and put a stop to the theft of our country and our rights. When? I don't know, but it will not be pretty. After all their previous losses, they've gotten very good at subversion, propaganda, and incrementalism. No matter their tactics, they will still never win. It is probably going to be at the point at which they think they've won that we will finally slap them down. Americans aren't going to live that way. I'm not. Are you?
The quote I posted in response to your post was an excerpt from The Gulag Archipelago. I felt it was in agreement with the jest of what you were saying.
The point the author was making is that Stalin's NKVD operatives went about their dastardly duties without fear. If/when similar tyranny happens here it will be open season on the oppressors and their loved ones. Violence will be repaid with violence tenfold.

Not to derail the thread anymore than it already has but . . .
I've seen pics of AK's taken off of dead poachers in Africa that are literally held together with bailing wire. But I get and concur with what you were saying with that post.
