"BREAKING: Death of Trump HHS official, Daniel Best, tasked with getting lower drug prices from pharmaceutical companies is ruled a suicide, even though he died from "multiple blunt force injuries.

    Nothing to see here folks."

I guess now they are killing off Trump government officials that are cutting into their profit margins.
This is the first I heard ! The news didn't find it important enough to report.

Riots are like sports, it's better to watch it on TV at home.

the drug price thing I was chatting with a friend and heard about this ? insane I tell you insane ?

but hey NY has that socialist chick now ! the one who is so smart cortez or whatever her name is so socialism will finally work !!!

the gov has lost of money you just pay for things !

that one gov guy from a few years back talking about troops on Guam and worrying it might tip over ? maybe their should be a basic intelligence quiz to become a gov worker ! would free up about %80 of the gov positions !!

No one likes to talk about it, but McVeigh's terrorist attack, worked. Between that and the kids dying in Waco, the public ran out of stomach for gun confiscation ops. The antis in power had to pull back. Asymmetric warfare works, regardless of whether pols like Swalwell understand them or not. When someone comes to your home while you're at work and burns it to the ground, who do you nuke?

Unfortunately, policy on this planet has largely been influenced more by aggression than by negotiation. Remember when your mama told you that violence never solved anything? Did she also tell you that having that attitude is why women do not rule the world?

    Sad. But. True.

With regard to asymmetric warfare, I always chuckled at a friend's favorite saying from twenty-five-plus years ago. I asked him why he thought politicians surrounded by bodyguards might indeed be frightened of some pathetic untrained civilian "doing them in". His reply? "Everybody's gotta take a shit sometime."

At some level yes, but there was also a wicked backlash that allowed the average gun owner to be portrayed as a potential terrorist. The fact that McVeigh was rolling around with a copy of the Turner Diaries as a blue print didn't help anyone either. But unlike the plot of the diaries he didn't attack the government so much as he killed an office full of people lucky enough to have decent government jobs and their kids.

McVeigh was a conservative freedom fighter about as much as Bin Laden was a defender of religion. The real problem is even people like Bush (41) defended the ATF at WACO and resigned his NRA membership when they referred to ATF as JBT's. Of course Ruby Ridge happened on his watch so he is biased in favor of ATF killing kids.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.

McVeigh was a racist POS. He will burn in hell for all eternity in my book. But stuff did happen as a result of what he did. That was literally my only point.

Wasn't trying to suggest otherwise. My only point was he did as much harm as good as far as results and the fallout from WACO was going to happen with or without him getting involved. Had he been a little more surgical in his targets I could be more neutral about things. Not of fan of the KKK but when they had a shootout with the ACP, it was all win / win for me.

If McVeigh went after Reno and Co. directly, well....shit happens I guess. But this is what happens when dipshits think they can change the world.
