She gets it. I don't think it will be two years. Five to seven maybe. People are too comfortable in front of their big screen TV's right now.

This is great- a revolt against the king in France because of over taxation and the king asks private businesses to give bonuses to employees to make up for their lost income. I am telling you this world has gone completely crazy.

I think the next five years and two to three elections will tell the tale.
"We'll be fighting in the streets, with our children at our feet, and the morals that they worship will be gone. And the men who spurred us on sit in judgment of our wrong. They decide and the shotgun sings the song."

Being a history buff, I long ago read Solzhenitsyn's "Gulag Archipelago" and his "Warning To The West". Frankly the Black Book is depressing, both for the narrative ("history is a butcher's block") and the fact that, as a culture, we seem to have learned NOTHING from all that. A lot of the language being thrown around by the Left these days tells us very clearly what those people have in mind.
We should watch what they have already done and take them at their word. We're fools if we don't.

Then kill them all every time they spout their progressive social justice commie trash.
For better or worse, though, we're still at no further than what Claire Wolfe called "that awkward stage where it's too late to work within the system and too early to start shooting the SOB's."
Maybe we're already in the last days of Weimar Germany, maybe the last-chance Hail Mary with Trump bought a chance to reshuffle the deck. Based on what I saw this election it looks bleak, if 24% (60% of the 40% that vote) get to decide everything because sixty percent can't be bothered to pick up a damn pen and fill out their ballots and leave the work of saying "No, we DO NOT consent to this horseshit" to only SIXTEEN percent... especially when casting a ballot here is as simple as "mark, sign, seal, stamp, drop in mailbox."

I think my concern is that this stage is going to become a permanent one and that Time is going to be what really ends up defeating us.
The Left are proving to be the fitter "organisms" in this survival game. They are good at this, we aren't, and if we really can't up our game and match or outdo them, then....maybe we really are relics of a bygone era whose time has passed.
And it's very much a valid concern--too late to act could be as perilous as too early. It just really cheeses me off when I see how horribly many of the Founders died and then hear some self-centered shit (mostly my generation and younger, though I've been noticing it more from a disturbing number of Baby Boomers too over the past few years) complain about how even casting a mail-in ballot never mind actually rolling up sleeves and getting involved with grassroots activism is a "hardship." You want hardship, try Thomas Nelson who turned Washington's artillery on HIS OWN HOME because Cornwallis had holed up in it and died penniless, just for one--these men had everything to lose and virtually nothing to gain, and there are more and more days that I wonder if this society we have today is fit to be considered heirs of the tremendous legacy they bequeathed to us.
