    AIWB HOLSTERS

This section of the forum doesn't get a whole lot of traffic these days, but when I posted my AIWB Belts thread, I got a surprisingly large amount of recommendations. That eventually helped me find not one, but two belts. So, lets do the same for AIWB holsters....

I am 6', 189lbs, and around 14-15% BF. I don't often tuck my shirt in. I'd like to carry a G19 w/RMR and a spare mag AIWB. I currently carry a G43 AIWB in a G Code Incog, and find that it slightly prints because it doesn't bring the butt of the grip in towards my body. I also have a KMFJ holster for my G19, but find that it prints quite a bit, which is why I never carry my 19.

I am very interested in "sidecar" type holsters. They seem huge and bulky, but all the rage these days. It seems like an easy way to carry a spare mag and not have to thread on another piece of kydex. Of the sidecar holsters I have been researching, these are at the top of my list:

    Tier 1 Agis
    https://www.tier1concealed.com/products/agis
I love how it flexes, and it seems to be molded to really force the gun and mag back into the body.

    Tier 1 Axis Slim
    https://www.tier1concealed.com/products/axis-slim
Same with the Agis, but smaller. I worry about the durability.

    T Rex Sidecar
    https://www.trex-arms.com/store/sidecar-appendix-rig/
T Rex holsters are quality gear. But, it looks mighty uncomfortable.

For non sidecar types, I have been looking at the following, which really all seem to be the same thing, with minor tweaks here and there:

    Dark Star Orion
    https://darkstargear.com/product/g19orion/

    RCS Eidolon
    http://rcsgear.com/eidolon-appendix-or-strongside-iwb/
This is the cheapest option and fastest delivery. I haven't bought a piece of RCS gear since the Tom Fineis days, but I'm sure it's still great stuff.

    V Devgru Seraph (RMR Cut)
    https://vdevgru.com/products/seraph-...wb-iwb-holster
This one came recommended to me in another thread. It is apparently made by Dark Star as well.

If I were to go this route, I would need suggestions on good AIWB spare mag carriers.

I am open to any and all suggestions. I'd like to hear opinions on what I have listed as well, as I have done some fair research on them already. I am amazed by hoe expensive these holsters have become, but it is what it is.

The RCS Eidolon was highlighted by many features that have since become popular with countless other manufactures such as the "wedge" and "claw," which significantly aids in concealment. The Eidolon is still a solid choice and my longstanding go-to for a G19. Another one that may be worth checking out is the Tenicor Velo. I use one for my G43.

I have several Dale Fricke Archangel Holster and mag carrier (both double and single). I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Here is guy local to me I've been eyeballing. Most guys I see making holsters are just wrapping or sandwich a pistol with some Kydex, adding heat and belt loops, but this guy has some interesting designs include a "sidecar" type. It is my understanding he is very accommodating when it come to custom stuff.

I've got a T Rex and an Incog but I never use them anymore after getting my Raven Concealment Eidolon. It's been the most comfortable holster I've worn and it hides my G19 with rmr like a champ.

Completely different build than you, so YMMV. 5’6” and 200# of mostly not muscle. Belly is definitely bigger than chest. Carry a G19MOS+RMR.

Have use the Eidilon as EDC set at pretty much its lowest setting. Using a non stiff belt (Arcteryx Conveyor) I can carry with polo, loose fitting button down (511 Breaker is my fav). The only think I can’t do is t-shirts. When I was fitter around 180 and less fat than muscle. T shirt that weren’t athletic fit were doable. Fit or unfit, I never could get the higher tide height to work

Have used the VDevgru as an initial TE jobber for a few weeks. It worked ok, but the claw tended to tuck the gun a bit too tight and the RMR would print. Since it was a TE unit, I didn’t want to grind down the claw.

When fit, I used a JM Custom Kydex holster that worked great with the 19 and a VP9. As my belly grew that holster started to print. I think cause it rode a bit higher. Much better easier to get a good master grip with it though.

I love the vanguard 2 and 3 holsters from rcs gear. Use them to carry g19w rmr daily, also use one for a shield on occasion.

I have a trex ragnarok and am impressed with the quality and design- so the sidecar would ve high on my list if I was looking for a side-car holster.

I am a big fan of the Stealth Gear ventcore AIWB holster. I have been wearing it daily for 4 years paired with a Glock 19 and it is very comfortable and sturdy.

The ventcore really does make a difference in comfort compared to other options out there. I have tried other popular brands and ended up sticking with this.

    I currently own:
    - JM Custom for G19
    - raven VG2 for G19
    - G Code incog for Shield
    - Tier 1 Axis (non slim) for Shield

I am now considering an Axis slim for the G19 as well. The JM custom has been very comfortable including during a two day Covert Carry class. The Shield holsters all start to dig after a while which is partly due to the short length and my keg-not-six-pack midsection.

Agis fan here and what sold me was the detachable and flexible joint in the middle. It definitely helps pull the gun and spare mag against the body. I had a friend try it and definitely hid better than what he was currently wearing similar to the Sidecar. I carry a G19 MOS with an RMR and an APLc.
