Its like one of those WTF buys and see what happens. Should be fun, to play with. We have shot customized Remmy's and some Customized Remmy's and then we have shot some customized Remmy guns. So why not try something new. I debated the 6.5 but thought, how much do I love the 175 grain popper, and I may have a 6.5 on order ( shout out to Slippers and Big D )

My rifle is in the serial number range that is supposed to be affected, but I haven't had any of the issues that caused the recall.

Still, I went ahead and contacted Ruger through the portal they have set up on the website. It took about a week for them to send me a new bolt shroud. No need to send them the rifle or return the original shroud.

The easiest way to tell is that Gen 3 has M-Lok instead of Keymod.

I just saw that Ruger is releasing a long action version in 300 Win and 338 Lapua.

I'm picking up one in 6.5. But one in 300wm now that I have access to a 1200 yard range looks really tempting.

A 6.5CM will do 1200 yards with ease, for less money, and with less recoil. Pick up a 300 Win Mag because you want one, not because you think you need it for that distance.

Oh I know I'm still getting a 6.5. But I still may get one in 300 or possibly but not likely in 338 just to take out and shoot
