    I have heard good things about the ARP 6.5 barrels. Post up a range report if you get a chance

    I haven't yet. I will be taking it out in a few days. I'll do a range report soon!

    I have used ARP barrels in the past which helped me choose his 6.5Grendel barrel for this build.

    After hunting with AR's in 6x45 and 300 BLK I moved on to a DPMS G2 Hunter in 308. 7.5 lbs or less if you change the stock and buffer assembly out with a carbine assembly. The reduced sized receiver and BCG give an overall size and bulk comparable to an AR-15. It comes with a nice 2 stage trigger and FF carbon fiber hand guard. I have used it on Roosevelt elk with good results.
