    200 Scar 20S available

THis is pretty tempting. Given the price of a SCAR, the trigger, bipod, stock, sling, case... it doesn't seem stupid money.

Now, I have a 50th birthday next week, and I need to get something iconic. My enabler in chief pointed out that at 5500 bucks, that is only 30 cents a day for every day I have been alive. So basically its a bargain.

I called today and got on the list. Now for optics...

Own a SCAR 17 and I like it but I completely agree with 7n6. Skip this and buy a SR25.

I'd take a scar 17 or 20 over an sr25 any day. In fact, I did.

I'll wait for the non-limited edition version of the 20 to come out before I snag one, though.

To the OP, I'll be running an ATACR 4-16x42 F1 on mine. The optic is sitting here waiting for the rifle.

I tried to get into my SCAR17. Lightest and softest shooting semi-auto 308 I've ever had, but there were numerous downfalls for someone accustomed to the versatility of AR15s. I dumped it.

What do you mean plastic rails?
Nobody ever got shot climbing over the wall into East Berlin.

Yep, it's not for everyone. The guns are overpriced, no doubt. But it is one of the lightest and softest shooting 308s, and the pencil barrels are surprisingly accurate. The current barrel on my scar also shoots bug holes with 168 smk, so it's not lacking in the accuracy department despite having a chrome lined barrel.

The main reason I enjoy mine is that it's easy to tune for suppressed use with the removable gas jets. I've been through multiple AR10 derivatives and they all have been poor suppressor hosts, even with super low back pressure cans. JoshNC has an SR25 ACC that I've shot a bit, plus I've used a variety of their other models at demos, and those have been the best in terms of suppressed use besides the scar (in my opinion).

Have you thought about the B&T APC308 instead?
