To exploit the potential of both your rifle- and the 6.5 CM cartridge; you will want the ability to dial for "come ups" at distance, a zero stop is nearly mandatory.
FFP is great on a precision/long range gun because the hash marks- rather MIL or MOA- are usable at any power setting. Glass clarity and adequate magnification are considered a requirement for precision/long range.
Old rule of thumb; "you're gonna spend twice on optics as what the rifle costs"- for those reasons.

I've found a 3-15X or similar to be just fine for hunting to 600-800 yds. for deer (Whitetail/Mulie) sized game.

Leupold has a 4-12x VXR from the hunting line in your price range that has several reticle and adjustment options.

Ya, that's not going to happen!

I'm just looking for a quality scope that can meet my hunting needs. The long range portion is going to be maybe 5% of my usage.

But to the rest of your post. I'm glad to hear its capable of such things.

I will never be shooting a deer that far, 350 yards is about max range.
