    .45 ACP Sub Gun Options?

There are several 9mm carbines and braced pistols on the market to choose from, but few choices for .45 ACP. Off the top of my head, there's just AR-pattern, the MPA MAC clones, the Kahr Thompson, and the Kriss.

From a practicality standpoint, only the AR pattern option makes any kind of sense, but is there anything else out there? Any readily-available HK copies, etc?

Kriss is a good option imo. Reliable from my personal experience, magazines are inexpensive as well are magazine kits. The Kriss was built around the 45 itself so that helps.

B&T has a couple .45 sub guns. Magazines aren’t cheap, though.

I am very happy with my HK USC 45 converted to a UMP by Tom Bostic. I am going to SBR it as well.

At shot show a year or two back LWRC had a .45 using HK UMP pattern mags. Also Noveske had a 10mm using HK pattern mags. It seems likely the Noveske if it gets off the ground at all will eventually include a .45 variant.

In my opinion at this time of what is available now, the best bet would be AR pattern, especially using Glock mags and Kriss extensions, or the Kriss.

CMMG also offers their line of Guard radially delayed blowbacks in 45acp. The guard 45 uses Glock mags and is available as a 16" carbine, an 8" SBR or Pistol, and a 5" SBR or pistol.

I've got a USC to UMP SBR that Tactical Excellence did back in the day, really happy with it.
