I'm currently running a 308 rifle for deer hunting and was thinking about upgrading my scope to a Vortex Optics Diamondback.
Does anyone own a 308 rifle? If so, what scope do you use?

you did not get any replies.
We sell Vortex, but stick to PST Gen1 and "up" except for some low mag like a Strike Eagle 1-4 or 1-6. Those are all good. PA is also good in that price range.

Vortex makes solid optics and would be more than suitable for hunting.

I have a Vortex Diamondback 2-8x42? on my 308 AR-10. Clear glass and holds zero. No complaints.

Thanks!
It's very light and not much recoil.
Unfortunately, it is very picky about what it wants to shoot.
It does not like Magpul mags.

I ran the Diamondback HP 4-16 on my 308AR for a couple of years. Deer, coyotes and a 336 yard hog kill with it. I'm not what I'd call a scope snob although have used scopes all across the spectrum. I just looked through the scope and was more than happy with the quality for the price. The software for plugging in your ballistics was great since I shoot steel out to 600 it was spot on with my loads.
