Zastava M53 Full-Auto beltfed machine gun

    Hi Guys

This is my second post and I'm from Switzerland for those who don't know already. Here in Switzerland, Suppressors, Lasers as well as select fire firearms are forbidden. But if you are a official firearms collector like me, you "can" get special authorization permits for buying the good (forbidden) stuff.

In this post I wanna talk about my full-auto Zastava M53 beltfed machine gun. Zastava Oružje AD was founded in 1853. The arms company based in Kragujevac, about 140 kilometers southeast of Belgrade, is the most important firearm supplier of the Serbian armed forces, the police and the leading firearms manufacturer in Serbia.

The Zastava M53 is a replica of the German MG42 developed by Werner Gruner, a 7.92×57mm caliber machine gun, which was used by the German Wehrmacht in the Second World War.
Like the MG42, the M53 is also essentially made of punched and formed parts. It's rate of fire of 1500 rpm is stunning.

Only the most important parts are milled from solid steel. Equipped with a roll closure, the MG 42 was the first firearm to be produced in sheet metal embossing technology, a milestone in weapon production.

(In this picture you can see the beltfeeder as well as some of my belts)

Enjoy the pics and here is a short video of it on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJlpePs-cvM

    Best regards from Switzerland

I would donate a testicle to science to own something like that! Very cool.

When I come to Switzerland I'm going to have to make sure that I meet you at the shooting range.

That’s ridiculously awesome. What caliber is it chambered for? Are there ranges in your area tht are ok with full-auto fire?

    Achilles:

    Caliber 7.92x57 Mauser.

Sure, there are a few ranges in Switzerland for shooting full auto with my M53 machine gun. But I always need a shooting permit for shooting full auto here in Switzerland, which only counts for one day and one range.

Awesome collection. Good thing that you have that M53. You may need it one day when they are at the gates of Vienna or Zurich.
