Coast Guard in there doin work!

I’d have to imagine some of these units have their best in the field currently(?)but definitely interesting results.

What's interesting is if you follow the competition over the years 85% of the top 10 are in the same units or branches. Others will go up others will go down but there is some consistency.

Not too sure how I like a communist air Force team coming in third....

The Swede's are communists. They have a huge Nordic style welfare state, but it's funded by a strong capitalist economy that puts most of the tax burden on individuals instead of on businesses (classic Bismark style social welfare where the elite make the middle class pay for the care of the poor). I'm not defending the Nordic Model, and it's not somewhere I'd like to live, but it ain't communism.

American Communists like to pretend the Nordic countries are anti-capitalist because it's a lot easier to sell to people on somewhere like Sweden than on places like Venezuela that are truly state socialist economies.

There were 3 NG units in the top 10. Considering their placement apparently they have some soldiers in pretty good shape for being NG (given the physical events and runs that are part of the competition).

Surprised the USMC team was 10th (paging Eurodriver).

Swedes took 3rd but if you read the asterisk they took tops in the physical events and runs. I would have bet the 75th Ranger Regiment would've bagged that one too.

These are members of the Swedish unit that participated. Anybody know what weapons they're carrying?

I say it mostly tongue and cheek. My wife is second generation American, her family is from Sweden. I do like the international flavor of the competition and know from a family member who is a previous participant how important the downtime is at the competition when you get to hang out with the other teams.

Ah, my mistake! I should've guessed you were kidding around.

It sounds like a great competition, and I'll bet the guys who have an opportunity to shoot in it really enjoy the experience.
