    1911 rear sight options

Sourcing parts for yet another 1911-A1 build and realized Brownells really has reduced the rear sight options in the last few years.
Looking for a solid cocking shelf rear sight other than the Novak/Heinie brands.

I use the Harrison Design retro rear sights. Sometimes called tall GI rear sight. Now if it has the small narrow front sight, I'd send the slide to him and have him stake in a slightly wider/taller front sight then match it to the rear sight.

Might take a look at Guncrafter Industries.

I have both 10-8 and GI, the GI has two set screws and a more refined feel and better fitment, at least in my examples.

Also a fan of the10-8 sights and the Trijicon HD sights. The U notch rear really does it for me.
