? on Thompson/Center T/CR22

The T/CR22 is advertised to work with any magazine designed for the 10/22. Therefore the question will non T/CR22 magazines still lock the action open on last shot?


EDIT update: Crap, located the following, 10/22 magazines work just fine (they don’t hold the bolt open after the last shot, but that’s a small price to pay for the convenience).

As stated, any 10/22 mag will work, but will not lock back. The lock back mechanism is simple and I could see it being adapted to other magazines. T/C has been slow to release the magazines through distributor channels, though.

Overall the T/C R22 is a really well featured 10/22 in the entry level and an even better deal with the $50 rebate through the end of the year.
