I need a small pen light for EDC. I’m partial to Streamlight so I might like the Stylus Pro, but is there a better unit out there that’ll put out more than 250 lumens? Preferably rechargeable.

I don't know about other options, but for years (5 or so) I've been using the Streamlight Stylus Pro you mentioned, and I love them. I have several, and I've recommended them to others. Nobody has had anything bad to say once they've tried it. For the price & the performance, I'll be shocked if I learn of a better option.
Edit: I use the AAA version, not a rechargeable, so I can't help you there, other than to say that battery life with lithium batteries is very good.

Good to know, thanks. Just wondering if there’s any wonder lights out there that I should know about.
Might be another light with better output, or whatever, but for $20 or less, the 2-AAA Stylus Pro is a hell of an EDC light. The 1-AAA is nice, too.

They're as crazy about flashlights as any of us are about firearms.

I have a bunch of the Streamlights. They can often be found on clearance end caps as new models are released. https://www.streamlight.com/products...-series/stylus
I like the Brite Strike EPLI, heavier duty with a nice heft. Due to switching, it's more a utility light than a fighting light. https://www.brite-strike.com/product/ultimate-penlight/

What battery type do you have a preference for, if any? What type of button activation (tail or side button)? Do you want multiple brightness settings available or just a few or on/off?
*Added* What is your price point?

Really like the olight S line.
The S1 series are almost too small
Use AA or special lithium ion battery
Super bright 500-600 lumens
Also moonlight mode
I snorkeled with mine for hours and it’s worked fine for months after
up till I lost it

Streamlight Stylus Pro is one of the best EDC pen light that you can buy. I have this penlight https://totalguide.org/streamlight-stylus-pro-review/. Very cheap and the brightness isn't bad at all.
