Anyone with knowledge of US Mint Police

Had a minute and figured I'd throw a post on here and see if anyone is familiar with the u.s. mint police in so much as what the retirement and benefits are like? When you look around the interwebs, the 0 0 8 3 job series for federal uniform police is all over the place as far as pay, benefits and whether or not they're on the LE pay and benefits plan like Secret Services' uniformed division.

That pic appears to be Federal Reserve Police but officers do not handle cash so it was likely staged for a photo op. Currency was never moved loose like that. Circulated currency was moved in plexiglass aluminum framed carts and new currency was wrapped in large blue plastic wrapped bricks.Only cash handlers moved or touched currency when I worked for the Federal Reserve, although that was almost 25 years ago. When I worked for them I performed access control, monitored and searched armored trucks, escorts, and provided security from fixed posts and facility patrols. We had our own 25 yard indoor firearms range in the basement near the vaults and maintained weapons qualifications every month or so. It as a decent job but I was young and became pretty bored with the job so I moved on after about 3 years. I would imagine the U.S. Mint Police perform similar duties.

I was trying for a joke - that picture is from a newspaper ad for the World Monetary Exchange, one of the companies that puts ads in Sunday papers trying to fleece old folks into buying bags of coins in the hope of getting rich.

Yes it is, thank you very much. I believe it's the same as ours here at the FBI police. On the FERS which isn't great but I'm just looking for a geographic move more than a change in position or job description. Thanks again.
