Today, my Little NFA Expert tells me the short barreled shotgun he's getting does not need a tax stamp.

    Ai Chihuahua!

One of those hip new shockwave "not-a-shotgun" shotguns?
Nobody ever got shot climbing over the wall into East Berlin.

Delivering the most precision possible, at the greatest distance possible, with the highest rate of fire possible.

I have no idea. Asking him questions hurts my head.

I think one of the men responsible for the A2 changes was there.

You’re likely referring to Coldblue, LtC (ret) David Lutz re: the A2. He also worked at KAC.

I have it on good authority from four colt experts (one a former Colt employee) that no SP1 left the factory as a MG. Lots of SP1 converted to MGs after leaving Hartford get listed for sale by various dealers and their forms incorrectly list Colt as the registrant. Somewhere along the way someone put that on a transfer form and it stuck. A FOIA request would clear that up. This topic has been discussed on many many occasions on Subguns and the arfcom M16 forum. I learn new things all the time and would gladly be proven wrong on this - the couple gents I asked are guys I consider to be historical Colt experts and have been in the biz since the 70s and early 80s. They said no dice.
