    6.8 uppers, available where?

I have a couple PSA 6.8 rifle uppers, both have worked flawlessly. I'm now waiting to build a 6.8 pistol but I don't see PSA doing 6.8s any longer. Is there another option for a cost effective upper? I'm not finding any good options without doing a custom build, $700+ is not in the cards. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Best I can do with Bison is $560. My PSA uppers were less than $400, guess those days are over.

Well, sometimes cheap is not always the way to go, but I get it. I have several 6.8 uppers, from Bison, AR performance and a Stag. The Bison is an 11.5 inch and runs pretty good.

I know. I have high tier and low tier rifles, each have their place. I'm interested in the Bison, but adding the desired options put me over 700, and that's just the upper. In the days where you can buy a complete AR for less than 400, that seems steep. Not that I want a 400 dollar AR...

Assembling yourself then may be your best option.

Fair enough. I've not assembled an upper yet, maybe it's time.

If you find a local gunsmith who won't charge an arm and leg for cutting and threading that opens some options if you find a good deal on a barrel.

I was fortunate to get a 10.5 LW used at a good price.
