    An entirely unbiased review:

I'll buy Vicker's book, he's a well rounded collector and I know he had a 106CR that he previewed on his channel a while back. Hopefully the 106 series made it into the book.

    Nope.

    It's entirely 7.62x39mm AKs.

In the video in my first post they state that Volume II will go into 5.45, and might even the 5.56 rifles.

I forget them, but Templar posted one time all the nations that adopted the 5.56 Bulgarian AK. I remember he too was a bug in the ear of Arsenal to bring about the 106 and the 105 back when we were both on the K-VAR forum years ago.

Now that is one hell of a big book to lug around a hospital waiting room. Kudos to you good sir.

He really got into Crossfit as a workout (based on one of his videos). There was a lot of criticism of his weight a while back, especially in SI corners... While it's great to see him at a healthy weight again I look at it this way, the man has earned the right to be comfortable and enjoy his food. So **** the guys that talked shit on his weight and never did 1/10th of what Vickers has done with his life.

    I disagree.....

I know rangers and retired operators who still maintain a healthy weight.

It's about commitment and other factors including many I know who got out..grew their hair long and sporting beards now.

    Why?

Because we weren't allowed it when we were in.

That attitude has to change....as I don't rely on the VA for anything anymore.

I'm only 46 with over 13 years of active and reserve.

    In the end....

Health is a lifetime thing and I am glad..LAV went healthy.

Having met and trained under him before..I'm proud he did.

    Paul Howe, is another example.

If I remember the entire discussion correctly, he had injury related issues that were preventing him from exercising regularly until somebody came along with a specific program designed for injured vets. Looks like it worked. He's probably more happy about it than anyone, nothing sadder than a sprinter who can't run anymore.

Can you tell me anything about this? I'm now in this boat. I saw his "why I'm fat" video and could not believe people would be that way to a freaking superhero. Good on him, many give up.

On topic, will definitely get this book, part of my interest in firearms is the historical side and LAV does it well. Also, had a class with Marshall that was absolutely fantastic, he came to our agency familiarize us with the AK and boy was that awesome. Bought my 106 shortly thereafter and it is a keeper!

I wish I remember everyone involved. Like you I was amazed at the disrespect being shown to a founding member of Delta and one who is so pro gun he's willing to share his knowledge with others.

Hopefully somebody else has a better memory than I do on the subject.
