Block 1 inspired Colt Commando

This started life as an agency trade in Colt 6933 Commando upper.
I was bored one evening and decided to throw the parts bin at it. I really didn’t plan on it being a permanent thing...I kinda liked the bare bones Commando, and was collecting parts for another Block 1 build.. but alas It turned out too cool to strip back down. Now it’s one of my favorites.
Future plans include a 6920 lower, SBR stamp,

As with all my ARs, it has evolved a bit since I took these... I’ll have to take some updated pics and post them later..

Looks nice! You can find Colt OEMs at some great prices right now. They don't have LE prefixes as far as I know (if that's important). But you can get the rifle and sell the upper or part it out and end up with a cheap lower.

Definitely has to be LE... I’m OCD like that. Also considering having an 80% engraved with “M4 Commando”...
I’m in no hurry with this one though... I have a MK12 build that’s taking priority right now, and with the RediMag on there you can’t really see what lower it is anyway.

Thanks guys! I will definitely keep you updated. Just be careful what you ask for. I’m new to this forum, so if you aren’t familiar with me from some of the others... I tend to take take lots of pics of my “babies” and maybe over share a little.
Isn’t that why we build em’ though?
