Hey guys,

Looking for some intel on Precision Reflex's "Gator Grip" scope mount platform. Precision Reflex makes the rail and BUIS used on the Mk12 Mod 0 and Mk12 Mod H. They also make an HK style front buis that I usually incorporate on my builds. Solid company as far as what they make... I'm generally a fan of LaRue QD mounts, not really looking to change - but more curious about the function and quality.

Thanks!

Here's a link for those of you who want to look at the mount:

It looks like it has a single lever on one side that tightens two "sear blocks" that are engaged in locking slots of the 1913. Looks to be a secure method of mounting.

As I mentioned, I try to run their fixed front sights on my RDS/HWS optic equipped AR's. It's as well build at DD, which I've also used quite a bit. I find that my eye prefers the round sight housing like on Troy HK style sights, except unlike the Troy's which could potentially be bent downard, the PRI is a full circle. I've done a little research and read something from some eyeball doctor that indicated our eyeballs adapt better to looking at and through roundy thing, since our eyeballs and "stuff" are round too. It's on the internet so it must be true. But in all seriousness, I can see the logic behind that.

As an aside, they also make some pretty good armorer tools.
