This rifle was new in 1989, built during the golden years at Springfield Armory.
The receiver is a five line stamp and the serial number is #053XXX.
The birch stock is a little oversized and is marked Winchester under the butt plate.
The Barrel, Trigger Group, OP rod are all USGI Winchester.
The bolt is TRW.
NM sights, flash hider is NM and gas system has been unitized with a new piston and new OP rod spring.
This is a very solid USGI (civilian variant) rifle.
I have owned it for twenty years and the round count in that time is less than 400.
