Ha, that's awesome, I'm going to do the same, and put that information on ATA's product page
ATA in QPQ black is coming back in stock in couple of weeks, the diminutive size and O ring installation make them time consuming to produce, and we run out of them fast.
The original concept of making the adjustment dials externally accessible seems like something Aimpoint should have done, but a brief look at Aimpoint red dot sights history would reveal it's never implemented externally accessible adjustments. One day I'll ask someone familiar with the company about it, my guess is a cap is a simple way to keep the dials water tight and dust proof, it's inexpensive, and they may deem the red dot sights "zero and forget" sights that wouldn't benefit from external adjustments. Except not all zeroing is done is warm and dry conditions
T1/T2 and Comp M5 are too small to have tethers the larger M2, M3 and M4 use to secure the caps. ATA is twice as expensive as replacement caps, but they're additional capability"replacements that provide added functions.
