    Recommendations on Ruger Precision rifle

I passed by a Ruger Precision rifle in 308 today going for $1099. I thought that sounded fair so I picked it up. I'm looking for a scope. I'll be taking coyote, deer, and occasionally hogs. Very rarely over 500 yds. Your recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If you are partial to 6mm Creedmoor, one can be had for around $750 for their cash price. A steal imo. I noticed 6mm creed ammo is much more readily available in stores lately if you don’t reload. I believe grabagun.com has a similar price.

I already picked one up in 308. I'm just looking for a scope. Sorry if I didn't make that clear.

Check out the optics section in the EE on this forum, you can find some good deals there, IMHO.
I think this one might be a good fit for the rifle. https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread...S-4305)-*Pics*

Oops, reread. Perfectly clear, don’t mind me and my precaffeine posts

Lots of good choices depending on your budget. Vortex PST gen 2 appear to be solid scopes, however I have seen 2 Vortex scopes break in local club matches( a Gen 1 PST and a razor). Best bang for the buck IMO is the Nightforce SHV, 4-14X, first focal plane. Very nice glass, and can be had for around $1100

The cheaper Vortex or the SHV F1 4-14 is a very solid choice.

In keeping with the RPR theme, I put a Burris XTR2 5-25 on my 6.5C and it works great. Really happy with this scope on this inexpensive rifle.

I think a 3x9 VX-R (patrol if you want knobs) fits the under 500 yards plus hunting very well for the price.
