The 6.5 cm round is finally starting grow on me a bit. We walked out the two LMT MWS guns (one 6.5, one .308) The 308 was handicapped with a shorter barrel and 168s... so not a fair fight, but the 6.5 got more first round hits all the way out.

I'm still a big fan of heavy bullets, and get much pleasure from rocking the steel hard. 6.5 cm just does not deliver that at all. At this point, I'd still pick .308. Pappabear picked 6.5 so he'd have a bolt gun in that caliber.

    Mark and PB,
I know I’m reviving your thread and hope you don’t mind. I am considering the Bergara hmr pro in 6.5 cm with 24” barrel. What scope would you recommend? I have access to 600 yd range but must drive 2 hrs to get to a 1k range. Thanks

Im a huge Nightforce fanboy because they are bulletproof and if you need warranty work, there is no better. SHV f1 Mil Mil is the cheapest model and will do you fine. Then upgrade to the NXS line 3-15 or step up to the ATACR line. Also, look onEE here and Snipershide for a used NF scope.

For 600 yards, you dont need more than 3-15X which is the best overall power range IMO.

Would you think 4-16 or 5-25 atacr? Snipershide EE has a few of each model. Thanks

4-16 is more universal. But some people love high mag. The 5-25 is much larger which doesn't bother me on a bolt gun. If you thought it might end up on a gas gun the 4-16 is better . I have the 4-16 on an AR10 LMT MWS and the 5-25 on bolt guns.

Also, check Mile high shooing. They are having a huge 4th of July sale with demo and Blem NF sale. I bought a 5-25 ATACR for $2325 mil mil. The also have a shitload of SHV's if you dont mind MOA scopes. If you are ready to pull the trigger, check that sight out.

I just checked the hide, the 5-25 ATACR for $2,300 is GTG. Comes with $100 rings. Also, you could offer him $2,100 end up at $2,200. check is ratings when buying used. There ar e smoking deals on the hide. No shit. $1,950 for the 4-16 wow
