IMHO, I don't even see a need for the B model to exist.
Because the A doesn’t work well on lots of metal frame guns. It is also easy to strip out the tiny screws on the A when changing keys between the U and P.

Re-thinking this question, I would not buy an A anymore. The B is much more versatile and will fit everything on the market.

    I hate the A Model.

The B-model fits tight on everything and is easy to install.

The only A model I have is a old 170lm unit on a Scorpion, because it’ll likely never get used for anything at night but just in case.

When I bought my Ultra, I wasn’t even aware that there was a B model. At first, I as skeptical of the design but after three years and many, many rounds it is still solid. I do like the relatively easy and tool-less removal of the A model, though- mine now hangs off of a HK45 for which I have light and non-light holsters.
