Trijicon hd xr sights

I bought two pairs of hd xr sights and installed them on my glock 19 and 19x. I noticed that the front sight on my 19 has a slight gap on both sides of the sight being able to see slightly into the gun is that normal or is the front sight out of spec?

Any of the thinner front posts that are around .100 or so will show some gap unless it has a shelf like the Dawson or 10-8.

That’s normal. One thing to note is depending on the gen of your 19, the 19x is gem 5 so the sights are probably different designs.
