Why do the loudest do the least?

PRI tubes are nice, so are BCM. BCM KMR or MCMR have a nice diameter that feels good in you hand and gives you some weight savings with the heavier profile barrels.

I've only built one SPR with a 15" rail, and that was with a 15" MK1. That said, it excelled in that role. I had no complaints, loved the extra rigidity and beefed up barrel nut over other designs. The added weight helps imho through bedding these types of rifles down when precision shooting.

I wish G would do another run of the mk1 rails

If you want the most accurate setup possible, the Aero Precision M4E1/M5 enhanced upper. While you are limited to Aero Precision quad, mlok, or keymod it's one of the only off the shelf upper/rail setups where the rail mounts to the upper receiver directly and does not contact the barrel nut.

If you open my safe pretty much everything wears Geissele or ALG rails, however the two precision guns are built with the Aero Enhanced uppers.

I used a 15" Geissele Mk8. Gives good clearance inside for MLOK attachments like bipods and is a solid rail.

I know you said 15", but the original SPRs were built around 12" PRI then KAC rails. Knowing that, LMT MRPs are an option and the receiver/rail is one piece. 18" SPR barrels are available, this one is a rifle length quad with a 20"SS barrel.

The BCM KMR is my rail of choice.
