You know.....I will just toss this out there. A LOT of legit immigrants either join the military or have kuds who join the military and are huge flag wavers because they know where they came from and want to be Americans. Going so far as to not even teach their children nothing but English.

Trump is right. Immigration needs to be fixed and made more fair. But letting anyone come in willy nilly just breeds crime and drugs.

I remember I was at an event working part time security and saw these two small Latin women heave sobbing at the national anthem. Like seriously I thought something was wrong.
I go up and ask whats wrong. They stare at me still sobbing saying "no english, no english"

I ask in spanish and they beam. She says her and her sister are just so happy to be here and have green cards. That to hear the anthem and be here alone mafe them feel like this was their home. Their friend was supposed to come to help translate but couldnt and got them a cab to see the game. The youngest sister's husband was in the military and in Iraq and was only 20 but knew English and handled a lot and she missed him.
And she says one last thing...

The Police where we come from would not have cared enough to ask. And they felt they were in Heaven just being here.

It choked me up to see brown eyes with such sincerity and sorrow.

I still have vivid memories of one trailer. The baby slept on the kitchen table, the 5 dogs had a bedroom to poop in, a pile of dirty diapers that was taller than the master bed and a dildo bigger than my forearm laying on the pillow still glistening wet. The rest of the abode when down hill from there.

Bleach, bleach, bleach, hand sanitizer shower and more bleach.

And that is probably the biggest distinction between "came here legally" and "illegal immigrant." Everyone is an immigrant, even so called "native Americans" came here from someplace else and long before Columbus found the Bahamas one tribe after another displaced and stole land until Europeans finally arrived.

I have no problem with immigrants, it is great that we give people a chance, but when you just pour in the criminal elements we become so overwhelmed that our immigration programs fail and we really aren't helping anyone.

If we could control out borders, restrict the criminal elements and things like that, we probably could afford something like a "dreamers" program even though I personally believe they need to get back in line behind all the legal immigrants.

Not to go on a tangent but the Indigenous can be traced to Siberia. Look up the Altai people. You’d think they were like Navajo. Even similar language. I also thought it was kinda neat that even the Soviet government gave them sovereignty. Like a Russian Indian Reservation. Had the same religion and everything.

Still....I won’t be going to Siberia.

But the point stands. America means something. It isn’t the worlds homeless shelter, wal mart, or drive thru. It was built on a morality we are best not to lose.

Well we finally did enough DNA mapping to know that EVERYONE at some point left Africa. It's mostly a distinction of when you left Africa and which direction you took once you left and then it's just a matter of how far you went walking...apparently in a desperate attempt to get as far away from Africa as possible.

I know for decades it seemed reasonable that homo sapiens would have multiple origins rather than a single source, but that isn't how it played out. We also used to believe we had a steady state "infinite" universe without beginning or end. Those were all nice, reasonable and comforting things to believe but the truth doesn't really give a damn about our preferences.

They need to create a distinction between "hoarding" i.e. mountains of clothing, shoe boxes and just stuff and people who for whatever reason cant handle a basic level of sanitation with houses full of garbage and dead animals. They are probably related as the line is often blurred and one can often lead to another.

To say an entire generation is like this is flat out stupid. However I will say extremely filthy living is far far more common than many seem to assume. I work in home improvement, and have been in both mansions and the shantys of folks who could only afford work via insurance claim. On both ends it can be astounding at the level of personal filth people are not only willing to expose to strangers but then they expect YOU to either move it or work around it. Fortunately, the upside to working as an independent nowadays is that I have more discretion over what I have to put up with. However there were days back when the struggle was real and I had little choice but to wade in.

In one the carpet by the front door was so ground in with dirt that you couldnt tell it was carpet. High velocity food splatter adorned the walls. It went down hill from there. It was a path way through the shit kind if place but not stacked very high. Ive long since deleted the pictures but one thing that struck me was the 1/2 bathroom (powder room etc.)

Within the roughly 30sqft area, It was literally standing room only with one spot for each foot in front of the throne. The sink was full of typical bathroom deterus that one keeps those little wase baskets around for. It Had like 7 or 8 bowl brushes around both sides of the bowl. The ascendency of these brushes could be determined by the differing levels of dust accumulated on them with one appearing to be in active service. I always wondered (but never investigated) ...what level of filth deadlines a bowl brush in such a shithole? I pissed in a wawa iced tea bottle instead, kneeling in the back of a van in an otherwise unremarkable suburban neighborhood.

Another scenario, less than a mile away from the last found me in a more or less classic hoarder situation. The older, not elderly couple who I fortunately never got to meet as they were never home, had taken up the farm/country/penna dutch style of home decor. So everything was old, folky or a decorative gourd(yep the plant thing) piled up everywhere. More noticeable than the old farmer stuff, by nature of all the white, was all the USPS flat rate boxes, assembled but not written on and also randomly spreadabout the place, not seeming to correlate to any particular items. If there was a plan to ship these things out, it had been a few years judging by the dust accumulation over all of it.

The kitchen was relatively clean and clutter free but reeked of rotten vegetables on account of of some of the gourds and those scrap/refuse tins local farmy folk tend to keep by the sink, still not use to modern trash cans and garbage disposals further thought of as fancy living. The basement was piled high with lionel trains, to the ceiling in spots but all appearing to be new or as new in box and meticulously organized. There was ample walking room for avg person but the only other things in the basment were the laundry machines and a fiberglass wash tub. 3 car garage was dark and foreboding, without any cars but full of the bigger rustier farming implements and more gourds. Lots more gourds.

The bedroom took a dramatic turn south with mounds of tagged clothes that had encrusted themselves on to the classic giant wooden bedroom furniture literally forming a rocky mountain like scene enhanced by the blanket of dust that muted the various colors into an earthier tone. Only snow was missing and there was only one valley that led to the master bathroom, our objective.

Less than 20sqft, tiny vanity, tiny shower, one person at a time type place and it was to get floor to ceiling, including the ceiling, in marble that would make the Waldorf blush, large formatt too. I dont recall if it was 16", 18" or 24" but waaay too big for this. One morning we strolled into the job, as we had everyday for the last several days but on this day we arrived to find a giant pair of satin undies with a giant stinking loaf smooshed across the inside, left apparently for our inspection, in the middle of the path leading to the under construction bathroom.

This family would later attempt to welch on the bill and tried to claim we left dirt everywhere. Not paying for the waldorf bathroom, 40sqft kitchen backsplash 150sqft kitchen floor, 2 20sqft entry ways and another larger bathroom I didnt step foot in, would be fair trade. Fortunately they didnt get their way.

It is not all hoarding. There is this laziness that can be found in the human psychie that they do not want to take care of what they have because we live in a throw away society. If something breaks just get another one. They don't pay for trash service because they are poor leaches on society. I have been to enough of these houses in my career on the raod that the courts and transport are much more appealing. Helped animal control clear a house full of pigs. The mom and 20 something son lived there with them. Bedroom had bunch of babies with tore open dogfood bags everywhere. There was one pig missing that was the size of a deep freeze that the family took before we got there. One was locked in a bathroom with a hair drier tied to the door knob to keep it in. There are poor people who respect what they have and take care of it, then there are just pure laziness. Got tired of seeing children living in filth because they were born to lazy parents who only cared about themselves and how far they could mooch the system.
