YHM Turbo 556 can is rated down to 10.5. They also come with a muzzle brake that will act as a sacrificial baffle. Would it really be that bad running a 10.3 barrel, just .2” shorter than the rated length? Anybody done it before?

I imagine that the difference in longevity will be minor, and something you'll likely never notice. That said, I'd probably give YHM a call and get their take.

I put one on my brothers 10.3 build. No issues so far. He has about 500 rounds down the can.
