IMO, the Geissele is the standard by which all others should be measured: truly a well-engineered, beautifully-made mount - as one should expect for the price tag.
True on the lack of info on the DD mount on their website. Though I have not measured it, the height is stated as 1.5 inches on the box, which seems correct to me.
In terms of strength, no doubt something like the Geissele (or Aadmount) would take more abuse before bending or breaking, but the scope would most likely be completely destroyed in that process long before the mount. On the other hand, the lightweight Aero is more like a fuse, perhaps bending or breaking first while saving an optic. Regardless of scope or mount damage, the optical sighting system would most likely be out of commission in either case.
For the 6-ounce scope I'm currently using, the DD seems a good balance of weight, cost and strength. If I was running a 38-ounce Zero Compromise optic I would undoubtedly opt for a more robust mount.
