I’ve been retired from the Army going on five years now and was wondering whether the Matech BUIS is still the prevalent issued BUIS. If not, could you all tell which back-up sight(s) are current?
Many Thanks!

Sweet! I’ll have to get one of those for my A4/A5 clone.
From other potential posters: I’d still love to know what’s being utilized on M4s in the Army at large, i.e. not in specialized units.
Matech sights are still being used.

Perfect! Many thanks.
My last M4 came with a Matech rear sight.

I believe in peace, love and extremely violent weapons systems... just in case that whole peace-and-love thing doesn't work out.
I remember watching one of Chris Bartocci's video's about the development of the M4. He says that the Air Force was the design authority behind the Matech sight. If that's true, it seems kind of unusual.
I rember having the Arms sights back in the day as well.
