    "Inertia feed" is a rd. that pops out of magazine/loose, or not controlled by extractor- causing a bitching double feed/jamb.

    Interesting, I would then guess that another factor would be an out of spec or poorly made magazine.

    ^Sure.

    "Spread"/out of spec feedlips could/would release cartridge too soon going into battery. This could certainly cause jambs/nosedive/stovepipe.
