    6.5 CM pet load with H4350 ?

We are going to try some bolt gun ammo. Have good new ADG brass, FGGM primers and 140 ELD bullets. Where to start and where to end up?

    Many Thanks

Start load listed as 40 gr.
    42 is close to max.
41.6 was a sweet spot for me- 2750 FPS, 24" Tikka.

42.0 grains gives me sub-half-moa 10-shot groups and single digit SD's. This amount +/- one half grain or so seems to the sweet spot for most people. I am using Federal SRM primers with Nosler RDF bullets and Lapua brass, though. The small rifle Lapua cut my groups in half from the Hornady brass which I was using previously. 2740 fps from a 24" Bartlein Remington Varmint barrel.

We're pretty much starting from scratch with the Bergara gun. 6.5 grab ass is starting to grow on me a little. We've had some fun shooting it.

    I've shot loads with RL17, RL16 and 4350 from 5 different guns.
There were very few lousy loads and the number of <MOA loads we experienced seemed much higher than "normal".
It just seems a very easy cartridge to load for.

H4350 is great I’ve also had good luck with Superformance. If your not really shooting long range I had spectacular accuracy with H4831SC just not the speed I wanted for 1000yds with 140gr pills.

Yea, long range is the only reason I have the gun. That’s ashamed because we have 8lbs of that stuff laying around.

I'll be interested to hear how your load work up goes. I'm reloading for an HMR in 6.5 and I'm getting sticky bolt lift and ejector swipes at 40.2 gr. H4350 with 140 ELDMs. I blew a primer at 41.6. New ADG brass. Not sure what's going on.

Interested to see if/what others have besides about 41.2-41.7 grains under a Hornady 140 ELD Match.

I’ve not used their brass but from ADG website (bold emphasis mine):

“ADG 6.5 Creedmoor brass was designed not only for consistency, but for durability. One of the ways we accomplished this was adding material to the case in specific areas to strengthen it. With the additional material, our brass is heavier than most other manufacturers brass and therefore will require lower charge weights to achieve the same pressures and velocities due to the reduced volume inside the brass. We recommend using a reputable load data source and working up from their recommended minimum starting loads. Failure to reduce charge weights established using other manufacturers brass will likely result in higher pressures and velocities while using ADG 6.5 Creedmoor brass and may result in unsafe pressure levels.”
