I've used the Dawson Precision 10 round 9mm mags with the tactical base pad since 2015. No problems. They are made by Metalform and Dawson installs their base pad assy.

I have used the Wilson Combat ETM HD+P .45 Auto mags since 2013 without a single failure. The square spring is the sh!t- those mags run in all my 1911s.

Vickers duty mags from Wilson for 45. I don't know if they make those for 9mm.

There is not one best mag. It is whatever the gun was designed around. My STI 9mms use Metalform. I tried meg gar and wilson and they jammed the gun up completely. Went back to metal form, no issues. In 45 I have had a lot of luck with Wilsons and Chip McCormick in my springfields.
Lack of Lubrication -- a lot of folks who learned on bolt guns don't understand that gas guns like women run better wet.

Dawson/Metalforms for my 9mm's, Tripps for my .40's and Tripps or Wilsons for my .45's. Keep fresh springs in the 9mm mags.

I noticed my Chip McCormick mags didnt slam into my magwelled 1911's so well. They worked but required much more effort than my Wilson ETM mags to slam into gun. In the 9mm variety.
