I heard back this morning from Centurion and in fact, yes, that is the price point for the soon to be coming CM4 Carbine. The web page for it is still being created, but in deed, yes, it looks like a great opportunity at a great price point.
This is good.
I see good things ahead with Geissele covering LE and Centurion covering the general citizenry. As long as the Centurion has a decent trigger.
That seems like a lot of rifle for the money. I expect they will sell well.
Once you configure it, it comes out around $1k without sights. That’s between Colt and BCM. I’d take this over both.
I hope they offer the stainless barrels as an option. Those are a step above the pack.
If the street price is $1k for a 16" mid gas, 13" CMR, with a decent lower, and some mlok goodies... That will be a best in class deal for a base carbine.
It would be great to see a setup that has a centurion 9" quad rail and an FSB at the same price point.

Board policy mandates I state that I shoot for BCM. I have also done work for 200 or so manufacturers within the firearm community. I am prior service, a full time LEO, firearm instructor, armorer, TL, martial arts instructor, and all around good guy.
I also shoot and write for various publications. Let me know if you know cool secrets or have toys worthy of an article...

So is it available now or not?
I really wish they would make their medium contour barrels again.
A Centurion carbine is something I would definitely like to own.
