If Beretta came out with an AR-style rifle what would it be like?

Would it's lower be compatible with other AR's? The upper?

I'm sure it would be accurate and come with a quality barrel.

I'd expect it to have it's own stock, grip and for-end that are styled along the lines of the APX and CX4 and semi-auto shotguns.

They already have their own, fine, HD magazines.

    What do you think?

Would Beretta go traditional DI or piston? To stand out in what is an otherwise swamped market might be a challenge. Unless they include six mags, a Vickers sling, and a quality optic - all for $750

I think it will be like the Springfield Armory SIANT, with the only difference being the Beretta logo in place of the SA logo.

It will probably have a cold hammer forged barrel though... They have the machine (because of the ARX) so they might as well use it for something.

I would like to see them leverage their tech in polymer to produce a purpose designed polymer lower similar to the GWACS, work out a constant taper Mid-length medium weight along with a Mid-length light weight constant taper cold hammer forged chrome lined barrels, light weight steel reinforced modular poly handguard with a monolithic full length aluminum top rail.

I'm pretty sure that it's just going to be a #metoo AR.

Would be interesting to see it use the arx100 barrel and piston with the QD barrel feature.

Now the circle of saturating the market is now complete.

I just received this email response from Beretta.

    "Hello Cliff:

Thank you for contacting Beretta Customer Support.

Unless an official announcement has been made, Beretta USA will not discontinue production of the ARX-100, nor will we be introducing an AR-15. The ARX-200 is available for LEO and military purposes only.

    Best regards,

    Beretta Customer Support"

    Thanks.

Sounds like it will be made in batches like some other guns.

A decade ago I was saying they were overdue to make a really nice AR lower,
With an innovative piston upper, and a folding stock.
