Anyone Have Experience With The Maxim 9 From Silencerco...?

Looks interesting, holsters options will probably be limited.

Mine is in jail. I’ve shot it once. Bought a holster from SiCo when they had a sale.

Only reason I have one is I got it for $800 with a free Octane 45K. Couldn’t pass that deal up.

I love mine and I paid retail. Worth every penny to me and I’d buy another if I could get it for cheap. I prefer the short configuration for size and suppression is good enough. Sounds like a firecracker or something outdoors. Makes my other handguns less appealing and they’re dwindling.

Agreed. I love mine and highly recommend. It's not a mag dump pistol but you can do 50-100 rounds over the course of 60 minutes depending on heat build up, then let it cool while you're shooting another gun, and come back to. It had become my bedside gun outfitted with an RMR and a flashlight with keymod built in so I don't need to run the rail. I also added the Combat Armory spring set, but removed the trigger spring and kept the safety spring.

Also have one of these in jail. Must have gotten the same deal that BigWaylon got. At $800 with a free can its a no brainer, at retail ($1500?) with no bonus can I would have never gotten it. Only handled it, no shooting yet. My first impression was that it is bigger than the pictures make it look. Carry options would be limited to shoulder rig and maybe an OWB if you're of larger stature. It will basically be a toy for me but I could see it being practical as bedside, vehicle, or office use.

Need details on how you mounted a light. It's the only thing that was holding me back.

No. And it’s turning into a huge fiasco for most people getting the freebie.

    I used this:

It's not perfect but mine works and it doesn't hang obscenely low under the gun. Regular lights hanging off of the attachable pic rail look silly. The keymod mount tabs are built on the body of the light and you turn the hand screw to tighten it down. I don't recommend putting tens of thousands of rounds thru with the light mounted but it does hold up and I trust it to turn on if needed. I have a handheld light just in case sitting beside the gun as well. I keep my Maxim in the long config for maximum suppression as it's a bedside gun.
