F’n love my approx. 8in. barreled .308. HK 51 FTW! It is a select fire and 3rd. bursts are awesome. Haven’t had a chance to wring it out past 50yds. but was accurate. Was pressed for time so didn’t get into weeds of accuracy. Then spinal fusion couple of days later. Spring(Mayish in my AO) should see me really put some time in to get idea of accuracy. Rifle currently at the master(TSC) for refinishing.

Would not surprise me to be decent at 200yds. It is an MP5 sized beast that would be great at CQB ranges as well.

I went down a similar rabbit hole when considering barrel length for a short barrel AR10. Not much data out there but I remember finding this article. Congrats on the new build.
