I like the BAD lever and have never had a problem with it, but it seems to be personal preference. I've been thoroughly trained in a standard m4/mk18 and always thought the use of non dom hand was akward so when I built my first AR, I gave the lever a try and love it. I got used to it quick and use it often. It's handy for locked the bolt back for misfeed, check, etc as well as sending bolt forward after mag change.
I've never used the BAD in a tactical situation so that could change things, and the previous comment about thick winter gloves could definitely be an issue but as far as normal operation I got used to mine quick and put it on any AR I use regularly.
