Wolf SP and HP for deer, hogs and yotes out of 16". I shoot deer in high shoulder/spine and have not put x39 in lung/heart so no info on tissue effect. Have taken trailers full of hogs with HP and SP either works fine. Most deer are taken at 100 or less on our lease, but hogs and yotes with thermal almost always inside 100. Have taken 2 hogs at just under and just over 200 though rare occasion to get one like that and both bang flopped. Testing an 11" pistol for night work like it so far on range friend in TX uses one with great success. Getting in and out of truck all night cutting off some length would be hugely helpful. TBD on pistol

    PMC 124-grn softpoints for me.
Given that 10-shots are a group and 5-shots may be a favorable trend ... know that just one good 3-shot group can make you an instant internet superstar!

Tula 154 gr. soft points for steel case or PPU 123 gr. soft point round nose (the stuff that looks like it’s loaded with 30-30 bullets) for brass case. I think this is also available as Herter’s.

Be aware that Tula 154 is a bit longer than 123 gr. FMJ and PPU SP RN is shorter. But I’ve ran it fine thru AKs &ARs just fine.
