    Removing bcm kmr keymod rail

I'm wanting to remove my kmr rail . I bought a complete BCM URG that came with kmr rail

Will I be able to remove this barrel nut with a standard wrench or will I need a special tool that bcm supplies with their rail? I want to switch out the rail on this URG

The BCM barrel nut wrench is the same design as a castle nut wrench.
If you don’t have a castle nut wrench, I’d be happy to send you a BCM barrel nut wrench. I have several.

Have you buggered up the nut yet? If so just take it off with a pipe wrench. BCM will sell you a new nut for 15 bucks if you are selling/keeping the KMR.

How are you holding the receiver? Clam shell in a small vise mounted on a flimsy bench is a bad combination. Everything is absorbing the torque of you trying to remove it. Maybe try adding some heat. A propane torch or good heat gun on the receiver end of the nut might do it.
