    Aimpoint, New or Used?

    Hi all,

I'm looking to buy an Aimpoint PRO. (Let's not discuss that.)

The price of a new one is daunting, but not out-of-reach.

I'm verrrrry tempted by the "lightly used" PROs on eBay and elsewhere. (Yes, I'm a good M4C citizen, but no, I haven't seen any for sale in the PX.)

Am I a fool to consider a used PRO? I understand that Aimpoints warranty isn't transferable. There aren't counterfeit PROs out there, are there?

Personally, I’m not a fan of buying used optics, unless it’s from a known source.

Anyway, what about the ACO? It’s a tad cheaper than the PRO. Grant might have a discount too.

    Aimpoint, New or Used?

I’ve bought multiple used Aimpoints, fact is most ppl don’t use their guns, and you can pick up a great never used optic at a substantial discount. By preowned, cause theyre almost never “used”.

    I’ve never encounter a problem.

    Use riverofguns.com

I just picked up a Pro off Calguns for $250, which is a steal. In general they are $325 used. A few years ago I bought an ACO for $290.

No go... I want to be able to use NV, and AFAIK the ACO doesn't have NV settings.

I'd buy this all day. Less than MSRP of a new PRO, just a little over normal street price and has the Geissele mount.

Bought a Comp M5 new that shit out on me. Bought 3 H1's, 3 T1's, 1 Comp M4, and a T2 all used that never gave me any issues...

Are you certain the warranty does not transfer? I believe I sent a H-2 in for service and it was a 7 year warranty on manufacture but never was asked if I was the original purchaser.

No problem with used at all. 88% of guns are cool factors. And wall hangers and so are the optic.

Out of stock... And $437 seems to be MAP. I can do better with dealer pricing at Brownells...

No, but I think that's what I saw on Aimpoint's site... It could be that they don't try hard to enforce the non-transferableness.
