Question A concise question re: LMT CQB MLC

Have been increasingly interested in scoring a CQB MLC carbine by LMT and so started saving my pesos ... and... saving.

But, in recent weeks these carbines have disappeared from the website.

However, I see that the piston version w/MARS receiver and MLOK upper is still available.

    Do I ...

    A. Get the piston version of CQB MLOK while I can, or...

    B. Hold out/wait for the DI MLOK version to return to stock?

I wonder if the wait might be a very long one, owing to LMTs military contracts...

If it's close to the configuration you want I would get it. Then later down the road replace the piston with a standard barrel and bcg. I have a cqb variant with the quad rail, and I hesitated when buying it. This caused me to have to wait approximately 6 months to get the upper alone. This was also back when they picked up there first mil contract, which was a while ago. So thing may be different by now.

It’s still available, and the price has lowered:

Saw it; much prefer MARS lower. That model uses Defender lower.

Why not the standard CQB? There’s only a two ounce difference between the MLOK and CQB models. Once you start attaching MLOK rail panels you just about break even weight wise.

They're in the process of finishing a huge move. I've seen LMT sell things I never knew they sold, for prices that were highly discount.

If I were you, I'd call LMT direct on the phone....tell them the exact configured rifle you want, and see if they can't sell you one. I see many configurations I'd like to buy that are currently not even listed as a option it looks like on their site.

I wouldn't look any further until you take that step.
