    .450 Bushmaster What Buffer and Spring

    I am building a .450 Bushmaster 16" Barrel , what Buffer , and Spring would you use ? If I go with an 18" barrel do I need to go with a rifle buffer , Spring , and Tube ?

    In general, different uppers and lowers are interchangeable.

    Slightly different barrel lengths won't drive a change in buffers.

    The most important factor being the upper is gassed properly.

    All that said, you can pick what stock style meets your needs best, whether fixed or adjustable.

    From a technical standpoint, the best system is the A5, then the rifle, then the CAR H2.

    A5 and rifle systems will both work fine.

    I was looking at getting a complete upper from BCA .

    I have a stripped mil spec Billet lower I will use , so I need to line up the other parts , lower parts , Buffer tube ,spring , and buffer . Also I need to get a good stock .

    Get a barrel with a matched bolt from a reputable manufacturer. I would suggest Tromix. My first hand experience has been excellent, and they have both 16" and 18" barrels available.

    BCA is suspect and a crapshoot.
