Pursuant to you question though, I have see 80% lowers have this issue because the detention is improperly finished. Have you compared the detent penetration into the selector hole to an in spec lower?

Because this one I bought has colt markings laser engraved on it.

Yes I compared it and couldn’t see any difference. I think it was/is the old Colt A1 grip.

Fair enough but why not just buy a Colt lower? You’ve got the money if you have a CNC machine!

Bottom line though, it ain’t really a Colt anyway.

Use a different pin for the safety, also, change the safety lever it's self. Not all have the snick-snick feel to them.

    Because It's Cool!

Hey Spanrky5019, FWIW: I actually do see the point,... because
#1) It's COOL to Machine anything and everything, if you know what you're doing.
#2) It's Cool to Know you have Completed something, that MOST people Can't, and some like yourself, have no interest in it, or that see no value in it.
#3) It's Cool because,... IMHO: it's Cool! Also, See #1 LOL
    Peace Jeff

Yes. I'd be trying one of your other AR's selector as a troubleshooting step.
